Pulling multiple trailers safely.
6.1 Pulling doubles and triples
- Place the heaviest trailer first (directly behind the tractor); the lightest trailer goes at the rear.
- A converter dolly connects the second (and third) trailer.
- Check that air reaches the last trailer: open the emergency line shut-off at the rear and listen for air.
- Allow more following distance and steer smoothly — the rear trailer is most likely to roll over.
