Winter driving reminders (sample article)
Slow down early, increase following distance and check your vehicle more often in cold weather.
Before you leave
- Check wipers, defrosters, lights and tires.
- Drain air tanks; moisture can freeze.
On the road
- Reduce speed by half or more on packed snow.
- Leave much more following distance.
- If conditions become too dangerous, stop at a safe place.
Внимание: Black ice is hard to see. Watch for ice on bridges and overpasses first.
